How to apply for a sheltered home

We have 14 sheltered housing schemes in:

Porlock, Allerford, Minehead, Alcombe, Dunster, Timberscombe, Dulverton, Brushford, Carhampton, Washford, Watchet, Williton, Stogumber, Stogursey.

To apply for sheltered housing, you need to be registered with Homefindersomerset. 

You can also apply through West Somerset Council.

Once you have applied, you will be given a banding, and you can “bid” on properties that you are eligible for, and that you would like to move into.

There is no age criteria for sheltered housing, but you do have to have an identified support need.

You will be assessed when you have been successful in a bid for a property.
