Sewers & drainage
Most of the sewers that serve our homes are managed by Wessex Water, who carry out periodic inspections to asses the condition of the systems and look after their maintenance.
We do have a small number of private sewers that serve our properties and we have a policy for managing and maintaining these systems.
We have seven sewage treatment plants and two sewage pumping stations, these units are serviced on a quarterly basis by a specialist contractor. We undertake periodic water sampling tests from these units to make sure they meet the required regulatory requirements set out by the Environment Agency. |
