Pests & vermin
Generally, it’s your responsibility to deal with pests such as ants, fleas and woodlice. You should contact your local council’s environmental health department for advice if you have any problems with pests or vermin, such as mice, rats and wasps’ nests.
Many councils will treat rats free of charge but may make a charge for dealing with other problems.
