We can offer assistance with filling in claim forms or application forms, and can put residents in touch with organisations that can provide further help, support and guidance.

We have a freephone number that you can call us on:

Sometimes it’s necessary to borrow money, but “money lenders” often charge very high interest rates.
A Credit Union can offer loans at a low interest rate if you save a little money on a regular basis with them.  This is especially useful if you don’t have access to a bank account.

Debt can be overwhelming.  It’s important to remember that you can get free, confidential advice.  If your home is at risk because of rent arrears, you may need additional support.

Speak to the local Citizens Advice Bureau, who can offer help and advice.  Some will write to the people that money is owed to, and negotiate reduced payments.  They can also give advice on bankruptcy.

It’s important that you don’t simply ignore the situation, or pretend that it’ll go away!

We can offer initial support to help get you on the right track, including putting you in touch with other organisations that can give advice, and assistance.
