Magna West Somerset Housing Association has a strong record of being ‘more than just a landlord’. Being a community based housing association provides us with many opportunities to make a real difference to our residents we recognise that we have a stake in and impact on the communities that we work within.

We see the Watchet Music Festival as very much an event bringing together the local community, which is why we were more than happy to sponsor this year’s event.
As part of our work in the community we offer a number of support services, including Community Lifeline and Magna Meals on Wheels.

Looking for volunteers…
Magna Meals on Wheels delivers a freshly cooked lunch-time meal each day to vulnerable people, people with a disability or those with long-term health needs. The service is available to anyone living within a ten mile radius of Watchet who needs it, not just Magna tenants.

Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, our catering team prepare delicious hot and cold meals, in our 5 star rated kitchen, which are delivered to our customers' doors ready to eat.

Our meals service drivers are volunteers. To continue providing this important service to our community, we need more volunteer drivers. Meals are delivered between 11.45 am and 1.30 pm on a daily basis. If you can help we want to hear from you, any days that you can spare would help. Fuel costs are covered and you can have a free cooked meal or sandwiches on your delivery days. Even if you can spare as little as one day a month, please contact Neil Bliss on 0800 138 6107.
